We’re learning about Goldilocks! I made hats so the students can act out the story. We also put out three bowls, three chairs, and three hula hoops to represent the beds. They loved it and giggled with delight watching their friends act the story out.
To make the hats, I cut paper in half the long way. I added ears and bows and laminated them. To connect the two pieces, I folded over a little flap on the matching end of the two papers (for one hat). I stapled a rubber band in between to make the hats adjustable for different sized heads. For the other 2 ends, I simply stapled them together.
I also made a little house with laminated characters and props so that the students can act out the story more quietly during work time.
We also made a matching work for putting the right props with the right bear and a sequencing work. Both of these works come from free worksheets found on pinterest. The students really love being involved with the story!
