ONE HUNDRED is a huge number when you’re five. My kids were SO amped to celebrate the ONE HUNDREDTH DAY of school.
My co-lead ordered T-shirts with a class photo for everyone, including the teachers.
Everyone loved making and wearing 100 glasses!
In circle time, we practiced doing 100 exercises every day this week—10 of each exercise (like touching our toes and hoping on one foot).
We also drew 10 each of 10 things, which is a nice way to break down 100 as well as practice skip counting by 10’s.
We made 100 fingerprints too with a variety of colors. They loved dipping their fingers in the paint, even if most of them didn’t really make it to 100 prints.
The older kids in our class tried to write 100 words they can read and write with their 3rd grade buddies too. It was funny when they asked things like, “teacher, how to spell Santa Claus?” What about easier words like cat, dog, hop, etc??
