This week, we’re getting a jump on Halloween. It’s just too exciting. We have to start now. I printed a couple of pumpkin works for Montessori work time. For one, the children need to match the 2 halves of a pumpkin. Another work for the smaller kids is putting in the pumpkins in size order. I also colored a pumpkin that they can add the features to.
I saw a little ghost
He saw me too
I said “hi”
He said BOO!
I decorated our door to our classroom. It has an Up scene painted on it so I added costumes and creepy visitors.
I also made myself a cheap easy costume. I decided to be a bag of candy! I love candy and it’s very Halloween-appropriate. I used some packaging from pillows a friend bought to make the bag, but you could easily use a garbage bag and cut holes for your arms and legs. I blew up balloons to be the candy and added a bow. Voila!
Originally, I was planning on having the bow around my neck and making the plastic come up like an Elizabethan collar, but my plastic wasn’t big enough.
